Fire Evacuation Procedures

Purpose

These procedures tell hall users what to do if there is a fire or suspected fire during a booking or use of the hall.

If You Discover a Fire

1. Raise the alarm immediately.
2. Ensure everyone leaves the hall quickly and calmly.
   • Assist anyone who needs help.
3. Check all areas including:
   • Kitchen
   • Toilet
   • Meeting Room
   • to ensure nobody is left behind.
4. Once the building is empty:
   • Close external doors (if safe to do so).
   • Do not re-enter the building for any reason.

Assembly Point

• After leaving the building, gather at the rear of the car park for a roll call or head count.

Call Emergency Services

1. Use a mobile phone to call 999.
2. Give the exact hall address:
